Terms of Booking
All of my cakes are handmade to order. It is therefore advisable to provide as much notice as possible when placing your order to avoid disappointment.
Your order will be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
Full payment is required at least 1 week prior to collection/delivery.
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The full balance is required at least 4 weeks prior to your wedding date.

If you require any changes to be made to your order, then please make this request in writing. If the changes affect the cost of the order, then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.

I retain the right to cancel your booking in circumstances beyond my control. In such circumstance, I will refund your payment in full.

The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you would like to transfer your deposit to an alternative date, then I will endeavour to do this for you, availability permitting. Once your full balance has been paid 4 weeks prior to your wedding date, I am no longer able to refund your payment or transfer your balance to an alternative date. This is due to the time already spent on the cake tasting consultation and other preparations, as well as any loss of further bookings on or around the same date.
Once full payment has been made 2 weeks prior to your appointment, I am no longer able to refund your payment. This is due to the time already spent on any preparations for your appointment as well as any loss of further bookings on or around the same date.
The distance is determined by the shortest distance provided by Google Maps. I cannot be held responsible for any damages which may occur after the order has been delivered.
Delivery is charged at £0.25/mile round trip.

If you choose to collect and transport your order yourself then you should ensure that your vehicle is clean and tidy and clear of anything that could fall on the cake. I would recommend transporting your cake either in the car boot or foot well, using a piece of non-slip matting. Please be aware that cakes are very fragile, so please try to take as much care as possible when driving. If it's a hot day, then it is advisable to use the air-conditioning to keep the cake as cool as possible. I cannot be held responsible for any damage which may occur after your cake has been collected.
Save the Date
If you are keen to secure your wedding date but are not quite ready for a tasting consultation, then you can secure your date with a non-refundable £50 deposit. The deposit includes the £20 tasting fee. The full cost of the deposit will be deducted from your final balance on orders over £200. For orders under £200, the full cost of the deposit, minus the £20 tasting fee, will be deducted from your final balance.
Cake Board Hire
Wedding cakes are served on a reusable clear acrylic cake board, for which a £10 deposit is required. The deposit will be refunded upon safe return of the board. The board can be returned either in person or by post and must be returned within 4 weeks following your wedding.
Cake Stand Hire
The cost of hire is £10 per stand, with a £50 refundable deposit required per stand. The deposit will be refunded upon safe return of the stand. The stand can be returned in person or by post and must be returned within 4 weeks following your event.
Please note that whilst every effort is made to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, all of my cakes are made in a kitchen where allergens, including gluten (wheat), eggs, milk & nuts, are used on a regular basis. Please inform me of any specific allergen requirements when placing your order and I will endeavour to meet your requests.
I recommend storing your cake in a cool place or in the fridge, and then bringing it up to room temperature for an hour or so before serving.
Your cake is baked to ensure that it is fresh for the date of your event. My cakes are made using only natural ingredients and so don't contain any artificial preservatives. I cannot guarantee the quality of your cake if it's consumed more than 48 hours after the event.
Most of my wedding cakes will contain some non-edible items, such as support dowels, flower tape, etc. It is your responsibility to ensure that any non-edible items are removed by the caterer/guests prior to consumption.
Any cake placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting/deforming due to heat. It is advisable to keep cakes indoors in a cool environment.
