Portion Guide

The portion guide below can help you to choose the most appropriate sized cake(s) for your wedding or celebration. A finger portion measures 1" x 1" x 5" and is the most suitable portion size for a wedding. A dessert portion is double the size, measuring 1" x 2" x 5" and is the most suitable portion size for serving as dessert.

 

Single Tier

5” - 10 finger portions or 5 dessert portions.

6” - 20 finger portions or 10 dessert portions.

7” - 30 finger portions or 15 dessert portions.

8” - 40 finger portions or 20 dessert portions.

9” - 50 finger portions or 25 dessert portions.

10” - 60 finger portions or 30 dessert portions.

11” - 70 finger portions or 35 dessert portions.

 

Two Tier

5” + 7” - 40 finger portions or 20 dessert portions.

6” + 8” - 60 finger portions or 30 dessert portions.

7” + 9” - 80 finger portions or 40 dessert portions.

8” + 10” - 100 finger portions or 50 dessert portions.

9” + 11” - 120 finger portions or 60 dessert portions.

 

Three Tier

5” + 7” + 9” - 90 finger portions or 45 dessert portions.

6” + 8” + 10” - 120 finger portions or 60 dessert portions.

7” + 9” + 11” - 150 finger portions or 75 dessert portions.

 

Four Tier

5” + 7” + 9” + 11” - 160 finger portions or 80 dessert portions.
