It was whilst running a chalet on a ski season in France that I was inspired to start my own cake business, when I discovered how much I enjoyed baking the daily afternoon tea for the guests. I set-up Dainty Bakes at the beginning of 2018, bringing together my passion for baking with my love for the natural environment. 

The name Dainty Bakes was inspired by my family surname 'Dainty', a word which also fittingly means 'pleasing to the taste'

and 'of delicate beauty'; perfectly reflecting the style of my cakes.


I specialise in creating beautiful cakes, which are handmade to order in my home kitchen, using only natural ingredients and delicious flavours. I work with environmental sustainability in mind and am committed to using local and seasonal produce as much as possible. Since setting up Dainty Bakes, I’ve been continually looking for more ways to further reduce waste, minimise food miles and support other small businesses and the local community. When I'm not busy baking, I love to go for long sunny walks by the coast or cosy up on the sofa with a good TV series.

Dainty Bakes is public liability insured and is registered with Taunton Deane Borough council, achieving a 5 star Food Hygiene rating.
